A covered call tracker built for one job
OptionHarvest tracks covered calls and nothing else. Log the call you sold, and the breakeven, premium yield, days to expiry and assignment status stay correct on their own — across rolls, across tickers, across currencies.

What it tracks
- Every call logged with strike, premium, expiry and contract count
- Rolling breakeven that drops each time you collect more premium
- Days to expiry and distance to strike on every open position
- Automatic assignment detection when the close is above the strike
- Daily price refresh, including ASX and other international tickers
- Closed-trade log with realised profit, premium and outcome
Why spreadsheets stop working
The first ten covered calls fit in a spreadsheet. The problem starts when you roll. A rolled position is not a new trade — the premium from the old call has to flow into the same cost basis, or your breakeven is wrong and every return figure downstream of it is wrong too. Add a second currency, a stock split, an early assignment and a partial share sale, and reconciling the sheet takes longer than placing the trades.
A tracker keeps that ledger for you. Each call is an event against a holding, premium accumulates, breakeven adjusts, and the closed-trade log tells you which of your positions were actually profitable once assignment is counted.

Frequently asked questions
- What is a covered call tracker?
- It is a tool that records each covered call you sell against shares you own and keeps the derived numbers current: net premium collected, adjusted breakeven, days to expiry, distance to strike and whether the position was assigned at expiry.
- Can I track covered calls in a spreadsheet instead?
- You can, and most people start there. Spreadsheets break down once you roll positions, hold multiple tickers, trade more than one currency, or need to know at a glance which calls expire this week. Formulas silently drift and prices have to be pasted in by hand.
- Does OptionHarvest update stock prices automatically?
- Yes. Prices refresh daily from market data, so current price, distance to strike and unrealised position value stay current without manual entry. Expired positions are closed automatically and marked assigned when the close was above the strike.
- Is there a free version?
- Yes — the free demo supports up to 2 trades with the core dashboard. Pro is $5 USD per month for unlimited trades, analytics, dividend tracking, exports and monthly summary reports.
